About this Program

The Nutrition Studies Certificate provides an in-depth study of nutrition. It includes the study of and application of nutrition principles in a variety of diverse populations and communities. This certificate will prepare students to work in areas where the knowledge and skills of nutrition are required. For example: Women, Infants and Children Assistant, Nutrition Aides, Nutrition Assistants, Health Coaching and Hospitality workers. It also provides a pathway to the AAS in Dietetic Technology where students learn direct patient/client nutrition care. The Certificate will also transfer to a variety of 4-year degree universities where the student can continue their education in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science or other Health Care related fields.
