Academic Camps

Culinary Camp

During this 2-day camp, students will learn various cooking techniques, while creating different dishes including pasta and sauces, bread-making, food art and donuts. Participants must register by May 19, 2024.

Get To Know Your Vehicle

Know a new driver? Students age 16-18 will learn how vehicles work, easy maintenance and enjoy a field trip to a local industry partner. Must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle. Participants must registration by May 12, 2024.

Introduction to Tools Camp (Elementary)

Elementary Tools Camp is for students entering grades 4-6 in Fall 2024. Students will learn the names of commonly used tools. They will learn how to safely and correctly use the tools with the guidance of high school and college faculty. Students will take home a completed project. This camp is for students who previously completed the SCTCC Introduction to Tools Camp in Summer 2023, or have some prior experience using tools. Participants must register by June 16, 2024.

Advanced Tools Camp (Middle/High School)

SCRUBS Camp

At SCRUBS Camp, students spend two days exploring a variety of healthcare careers like nursing, laboratory science, social work, alternative therapies, and many others. There are hands-on activities facilitated by healthcare professionals and SCTCC faculty members on day one and a field trip to CentraCare Plaza on day two.Participants must register by June 21, 2024.

S.T.A.R Camp (Elementary)

This camp is for students entering grades 3-6 in Fall 2024. Students will learn how robots work and further their communication and teamwork skills. The camp will conclude with a robot demonstration day for family and friends to attend. Participants must register by May 26, 2024.

S.T.A.R Camp (Middle/High School)

Students will learn how robots work and further their communication and teamwork skills. Campers will tour and participate in hands-on activities in the SCTCC Manufacturing Programs (CNC & Advanced Machining, Energy & Electronics, Mechanical Design Technology, and Welding/Fabrication). Students will also tour a local manufacturing company during camp. The week will conclude with a robot demonstration day for family and friends to attend. The registration deadline in June 9, 2024.

High School Defense Camp

This session is for liberos and all players and positions that want to work on their back row skills; serve receive, defense, diving, back row attacks.

High School Hitter/Setter Camp

This session is for hitters of all positions to work on footwork, timing, shots, arm swing, speed and increase tempo (setters are encouraged to register for this camp if they attended the Setters Camp the previous day).

High School Setter Camp

This session is for setters only to work on foot work, hand position, consistency, placement and tempo. Setters who complete this camp are also encouraged to register for the hitter/setter camp the following day to apply what they learned with the hitters. If athletes are not sure what position they play, this camp is not for them.
