01/25/23 – technical change replaced the title executive director with chief audit officer.

06/22/22 - As part of the 5 year review process, removes Part 1 College and University Administrators which will become part of Board Policy 4.2 Appointment of Presidents. Further amendments remove all references to “president” and “presidents”. The policy is amended to require the chancellor to consult with the board chair and the chair of the Workforce and Organizational Effectiveness Committee prior to termination of a deputy chancellor, vice chancellor, and general counsel.

09/21/16 - Amended Part 2 to include general counsel and requires salary changes to be reviewed by both the board chair and the chair of the Human Resources Committee. Combined Parts 3 and 4. Added Subpart B. Extensions of employment, Subpart C. Termination of employment, and Subpart C. Contract expiration. Part 4 was amended to clarify the process for the appointment and performance evaluation of executive director of Internal Auditing. Added Part 5. General Council. Additional wording and formatting changes throughout for consistency and clarity.

06/15/05 - Amends Part 5 - defines the annual performance and salary adjustment for Executive Director. Also adds termination clause for Executive Director

10/16/02 - Amends Part 5 - deletes Executive Director/Board Secretary.

07/19/00 - Added Part 5.

12/16/98 - Amendment deleted Part 1; Deleted some language in Part 2, Subpart A; Deleted Part 4; Added Part 3, Subpart A and C; Moved former Part 5, Subpart B language to Policy 1A.3.

11/18/98 - Amendment made to move actions pertaining to "presidents" into new policy 4.2

10/22/97 - Part 2, Subp. A & B requires the chancellor and at least 1 and up to 3 members of the Board to interview finalists for the appointment of college and university administrators

09/18/96 - Part 5, Subp. B, Amended

07/17/96 - Part 5, deletes "deputy chancellor" subpart A, and adds subpart. B.
