Expanding Research Opportunities with Wildlife Tracking Tower

Background
Anoka-Ramsey Community College is erecting a Motus Wildlife Tracking Tower on its Coon Rapids campus, joining an international research collaboration to coordinate automated radio telemetry data on migrating animals, such as birds, bats, monarchs and dragonflies.This tower will allow students in courses such as Field Biology, Animal Biology, and General Ecologythe ability to track the movements of animals and insects they band with nano tags, thus contributing to the broader body of migratory data used by wildlife researchers around the world.
