ST. PAUL, Minn., March 19, 2014 - Minnesota House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee’s Supplemental Budget Recommendation

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities greatly appreciates the work of Chair Gene Pelowski and the members of the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee.   The supplemental budget proposal passed by the committee today will advance the outstanding work of our faculty and staff and the critical role our colleges and universities play in ensuring access to an extraordinary education for all Minnesotans.  We look forward to continuing our work with Governor Dayton, and House and Senate leaders to advance this investment in the success of our students and the communities we serve.

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities include 24 two-year community, technical, and comprehensive colleges and seven state universities serving more than 430,000 students. It is the fifth-largest higher education system of its kind in the United States.
